Please note that NAVHDA testing rules stipulate a maximum number of dogs that can be run on each test day. Properly completed test applications will be accepted by the Test Secretary in the order received. Should more applications be received than test spots available, you will be placed on a waiting list in the order in which your properly completed application is received.

  • The Spring Test dates are Saturday & Sunday June 3rd & 4th, 2023.

  • The Fall Test dates are Saturday & Sunday September 2nd and 3rd, 2023.

The test fees will be:

  • Natural Ability - $150 for Del Val Member, $175 for Non Chapter Member

  • Utility and UPT - $180 for Del Val Member, $200 for Non Chapter Member

Please make checks payable to the Del-Val NAVHDA Chapter. Jill Fabel will be the Test Secretary and completed applications should be mailed to the Test Secretary at the address below:

A complete Test Entry submitted by the dog’s owner is required to admit a dog into a test. If your entry is incomplete, your dog will not be allowed to test. A complete entry includes:

  • The Dog’s NAVHDA Registration Number

  • The owner’s NAVHDA Member Number (located on the first line of your VHD magazine label)

  • The Handler’s NAVHDA Number

  • A complete Test Entry Form

  • Test Entry Fee payment


The only way to withdraw from a test is by sending a written notification to the Test Secretary by letter or email.   To qualify for a refund, (i) your withdrawal notification must be received by the Test Secretary more than 30 days prior to the relevant test date; (ii) the test must be at maximum capacity at the time such withdrawal notice is received by the Test Secretary; and (iii)  if the Test Secretary is able to fill your test slot by an applicant that has paid the relevant application fee, then you will receive a refund equal to 80% of your application fee.


If you withdraw within 30 days of the relevant test date, no refund will be allowed.
