Towser is a high-energy, high desire dog. If Towser had been my first dog I might have switched to golfing in my spare time - he simply would have been too much to handle. Fortunately, Towser has turned out to be a super hunting dog who really matches my personal taste in dogs. He is a very fast, wide ranging dog whose search pattern might not be to everyone's liking. However, he possesses a very strong pointing instinct, has impeccable manners on birds, and is soft-mouthed. I particularly enjoy watching him do Duck Searches. His searches are expansive to say the least, and he always seems to find the duck.
Locally, Towser and I have hunted for Ducks, Quail and Pheasant. We have also been to Minnesota, Wisconsin, and New Brunswick, Canada to hunt Ruffed Grouse and Woodcock.
